ASI485MC is awesome, but shipping...

So I finally pulled the trigger on the ASI485MC during their spring sale. I've been eyeing it for a while, and the bundle deal with some filters was pretty sweet, saved like 15%. I'd say the camera itself is a solid 5 stars for performance, really happy with the images. My only gripe is the shipping from China. It took almost three weeks to get to me in the US, which felt like forever when you're excited for new gear. QHYCCD sometimes gets things here faster. Still, ZWO makes great stuff.

Another good purchase, AM3

This was my second order from ZWO; I got the AM3 Harmonic Equatorial Mount this time. My first purchase was an ASI camera a year or so ago. Like before, the packaging was secure and everything arrived in perfect shape. The AM3 is exactly what I expected, maybe even a bit more portable than I remembered. It's working great with my lighter scope. They consistently deliver reliable products. I appreciate that their stock seems pretty consistent too, unlike some other places.

Seestar S50 was a great buy

Got the Seestar S50 a couple weeks ago. It's pretty cool, way easier to use than I thought it would be. Just set it up in the backyard and it started finding stuff. The pictures it takes are decent, especially for how simple it is. Shipping took a little while but it got here fine. Definitely happy I got it, good for just chilling and looking at the sky.

AM5 mount is solid

Bought the AM5 Harmonic Equatorial Mount. Arrived in good condition. Setup was quick. It holds my scope well. Very stable tracking. No problems with performance. Good mount.

Good ASIAIR Plus, minor shipping hiccup

I ordered the ASIAIR Plus and it's mostly great. The device itself works as advertised, integrating well with my existing ZWO gear. Setup was fairly straightforward, and the app is quite user-friendly. My only minor issue was with the shipping speed; it took about 12 days to reach me in California, which felt a bit long compared to other online stores. Also, the packaging could have been a little more robust for such delicate electronics. Overall, I'm satisfied with the purchase and the value, but faster shipping would make it a perfect experience.

Detailed thoughts on my ASI533MC Pro

I purchased the ASI533MC Pro last month during their anniversary sale. The ordering process was smooth, and the website was easy to navigate. It shipped out from their facility within 3 business days, and arrived in New York about 9 days later, which was reasonable for an international shipment. The camera was well-packaged in a sturdy box with foam inserts. Upon unboxing, the build quality felt solid. Installation of the drivers and ASCOM platform was simple enough, and it connected to my ASIAIR Plus without any issues. I've used it for several imaging sessions now, primarily for nebulae, and the low read noise and lack of amp glow are truly impressive. The only small hiccup was getting the backfocus correct with my existing filter drawer, which required an extra spacer I had on hand. Customer support responded to a general query about cooling performance within 24 hours. Overall, a very positive experience with both the product and the store.
